The 2024 ASHRAE Conference for Integrated Design, Construction and Operations (CIDCO) (formerly the Building Performance Analysis Conference) has announced a call for presentations. The conference provides an in-depth look at existing tools and applied knowledge, as well as the study and introduction of new technologies including machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and robotics to design, construct and operate buildings.
2024 CIDCO builds upon the platform of ASHRAE’s previous Building Performance Analysis Conferences to include other elements of the wider construction industry and more topics from design, construction to operations.
Modelers, owners, principals, architects, designers, engineers, contractors, analysts and students are all invited to submit presentation proposals. Creative and interactive presentation formats are strongly encouraged.
The 2024 CIDCO Steering Committee requests the following submission types:
- Individual presentations: On projects, case studies, use of software tools, examples of integrated design, research, or career/business development topics. (10-20 min)
- Panel: 3-4 industry experts, including one moderator, on a current topic of interest or team case study. Only one slide deck per panel required. (90 min)
- Seminar: 1-4 speakers and session Chair, on one of the conference topics. Individual slide decks for each speaker required. (60-90 min)
(If you would like to submit a proposal that does not align with the requirements of the three submission types outlined above, we would encourage you to submit your proposal as a seminar noting that it does not align with the standard seminar format. We will gladly consider the proposal just as we will consider all other seminar, panel and individual presentation submissions. Please be sure to include a brief description of the proposed session type to accompany your description of the session content.)
Conference topics cover:
- Simulation Integration with Building Information Modeling/Management
- Digital Practice Management
- Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)
- Generative Design
- Digital Twin Asset Management
- 3D & 4D Life Cycle Cost Analysis
- Energy and Carbon Reduction Modelling & Analysis
- Occupant Health, Wellbeing & Comfort
- Indoor Environmental Quality (including lighting & daylighting)
- Real Time Monitoring and Predictive Analysis
- Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD)
- Standards, Codes and Regulatory Compliance
